Experiential Learning Week

March 7-14, 2025

Imagine visiting the iconic Statue of Liberty, walking the historic streets of Charleston, or meeting a Giant Panda in its native habitat as part of your required schoolwork.

These are a few of the experiences offered to Florida Prep students during 2024 Experiential Learning Week (ELW).

ELW allows students to choose an adventure led by dedicated Florida Prep faculty and staff. Opportunities range from service and work experiences to cultural and language expeditions.

Drawing from a variety of classroom subjects and with a range of focuses, including History and Science, all trips are educational, dynamic, and hands-on. All Florida Prep students are required to attend one trip as there are NO academic classes during the week.

All trips include transportation to and from the destination, lodging, food, and entry into venues and events.

Experiences are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. An experience must have a minimum number of student registrations. All students must sign-up for an experience as Experiential Learning Week is an instructional week of school. Students are required to complete a project /assignment to complete their experience and to receive a grade.

We reserve the right to provide alternate experiences if venues are closed, become unsuitable, or Florida Prep students are unable to travel due to State or Health restrictions. Refunds will be obtained from vendors when applicable.
