A Unique Class Environment

With a separate campus dedicated to the Lower School, Florida Prep offers high-achieving lower schoolers a special opportunity to excel. Our open schedule allows lower school students with a proven record of outstanding academic performance to enroll in high school courses, including Honors and AP programs. Based upon recommendations and evaluations, lower schoolers can also advance into higher grades.

Students in 6th through 8th grade rotate through a six period schedule with four core classes, one electives period, and a separate lunch time. During the day, all students are instructed in the core areas of Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, and English.  In order to help solidify the fundamental knowledge needed for each course, field trips related to these subjects occur on a regular basis. There are two different tracks that our lower school students can follow, advanced and regular. The three year plans for each track are below.
